David B. Kampf is a founding partner at Kampf, Inman & Associates, P.A. David’s practice focuses on defending insurers pre and post suit through trial and appellate proceedings.
David handles both first and third party claims including claims seeking affirmative relief on behalf of the insurance companies to obtain either declaratory rulings or damages on their behalf.
Cases primarily concern the defense of no-fault (PIP) claims as well as defending per contracts of insurance and various aspects of coverage disputes, including conflicts of law between states and claims for which the accident occurred in or out of state and interpretation of out of state policies.
David also pursues substantial claims seeking commercial right of reimbursement of paid PIP benefits as well as claims for payment of reimbursement of paid benefits under PIP and medical payment coverage portions of the policies. He has successfully pursued hundreds of lawsuits on behalf of insurers to obtain affirmative relief.
David is frequently called upon to evaluate pre-suit claims including allegations as to bad faith claims handling or other complex claims requiring the assistance of counsel.

David frequently consults with insurers and provides lectures, in house seminars and other meetings to address general claims handling, cases or even specific problems and issues that the insurer may be handling at any particular time.
David earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1992 and has been in private practice since that time. He has been representing insurers and their insureds for nearly 25 years. David has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1992 and also is admitted practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
