Senior partner at Ramey & Kampf, P.A., Mark S. Ramey, with practice focused on Civil Trial,
Casualty Defense Litigation, First and Third Party Claims, and Extra Contractual Litigation. His cases primarily concern complex claims, medical, biomedical science and financial issues.
Mark is frequently called upon to evaluate pre-suit claims, represent the company or its insureds in responding to demands and avoiding of bad faith in claims handling or negotiations. He often assists in handling difficult matters such as multiple claimant exposures, complex time demands, and excess claims.
When litigation is necessary, mediation or arbitration is always utilized in an attempt to resolve issues expeditiously. However, jury trial is what he is best known for.
After receiving his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1987 he served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit Florida until 1994. While a Felony Prosecutor he tried cases ranging from Murder, Arson, Trafficking to Racketeering.
Since entering private practice his career has been devoted solely to insurance defense and ultimately with the founding of Ramey & Kampf, P.A. in 1998.
Mark is admitted to practice in all Florida Courts, as well as the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
